LONG BEACH FIGHT NIGHT-3

 


 

Have you ever gone to a Fight or Major Sporting Event  and experienced the following:

  • Non-Stop  action at a low price with free parking
  • Many Free-Give Aways from its sponsors
  • The opportunity to talk with Ring Card Girls before entering the arena
  • The opportunity to meet the fighters
     
 If you have gone to the Long Beach Fight Night on Sunday, July the 19th you would have experienced this and more.


Over 2500 attended this exciting event.  Many of you only attend events, which headline famous fighters or stars.  There were no famous fighter, but these fighters fought with a lot passion and desire.  I have been to many boxing and fighting events which hosted 12 fights.  To be honest, many of those fights were boring and I often watched main events that didn't measure up to the hype.  This wasn't the case at the Long Beach Fight Night. I am like many sports. I like to drink beer and eat during sporting events. They didn't serve beer but it didn't matter because the fights were too great to walk away from my seat  because I didn't want to miss any of the action. 

My only complaint to the Promoters is the expression used in their flyers "Nose Bleed Seats". People who sat in that area saw a great show and was also close to the action .  There was no bad place to sit.


All of these fighters, fought with a lot of intensity.  All of the fighters were great but three fighters by the name of Kengo "The Japanese Assassin" Ura, Illiams "Ewee" Goglia, and Maurice "Syko" Eazle. Stood out by my opinion.

      Kengo was the "Fighter of the Night".  He faced a very faced opponent by the name of Anthony "Venom" Smith, which I thought was the "Fight of the Night"  Anthony showed so much speed in his punches that I thought Kengo was going to loose. While Anthony threw some fast comos, Kengo countered with three quick solid punches with one to the jaw which that put Anthony on the Canvas.  If they two were to fight again, the outcome may different. Either way,  it would be another great action-packed fight.        
Illiams "Ewee "Goglia Illiams, who is a Heavyweight took out his opponent in the first round. It was a heart-filled victory. Because in his speech to the fans.  Illiams thanked everyone and explained how he just won a bought with Cancer.  I don't know the criteria for the Fighter of the Night but many may have thought that Illiams should have been picked.
Maurice "Syko" Eazel Maurice is a local guy from Lakewood.  You could tell by the crowd response. He gave them a great show. I don't know how he got the nickname "Syko", but I think they should call him "Mighty Mouse" because of the power this demonstrated.  He slammed his opponent who was about a foot and half taller about three hard times. Its appeared that  he threw his partner above his own head.  I give respect to the other fighter, Josh for being able to get up after the first throw. That showed one great martial arts ability that is taunt before you spar and start training.  "The ability to fall and withstand being thrown" The average man would not have gotten up.



 I was impressed by the following schools for sending such great fighters:
